Weeks before by father’s death, he was moved to Aldem de Groenkloof, who specializes in the care of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. Aldem is quite expensive, but when you take the level of care that they provide into consideration, their higher price tag becomes insignificant. Where I would score the place where my dad stayed before, a mere 1 out of 10, Aldem scores 10 out of 10. I do not have the appropriate words to praise Aldem enough. All I can say is that ALL the personnel, from management to cleaners, exude love and absolute passion for what they are doing. I feel fortunate that my father was able to take his last breath when he was surrounded by these awesome care givers, and it makes up for the fact that he was neglected at his previous residence, a so called haven.
