Poor show by Aldam Estate

Our family of 8 decided to visit Willem Pretorius Game Reserve and Aldam Resort this morning. I took my aunt of 85 and my in-laws of respectively 69 and 70 years old for what I though would be a wonderful day in nature. We planned to visit the reserve early in the morning, and the restaurant at Aldam later for lunch. Our day was an absolute disaster. The reserve had no ablutions and did not sell any meals, or even cool drinks. We turned around and went back to Aldam to take the elderly people to the ablutions, and buy some snacks for the day. We were refused entry by a very rude gate guard, and no matter how we tried to explain our predicament, we were told we (and our money) were not welcome. We expected to pay entrance fees, but upon offering this solution, the guard just became more arrogant. We ended up going through to Maxi's in Ventersburg for a meal, and headed straight back to Bloemfontein.

I simply won't visit Aldam again, but Willem Pretorius is such a stunning reserve with so much potential, and yet it has ZERO facilities.
