Waste of money

On the 19th of July I bought an Alcatel onetouch link WiFi router at Clicks,ever since I bought it I can't access the internet,basically I can't do anything with it,what I don't understand is why would I purchase a WiFi router which doesn't work,I was told it works with any network,the first week I bought it I was told to call Sahara to lock it,but it doesn't look,so what must I do with this thing,if I can't use it,I wasted R600 on a useless router,can I return it for a refund? Or what
