Feature Phone

The phone has some questionable design choices considering it's meant to be for the elderly. The OK button and navigation wheel around it are very sensitive and it is easy to accidentally press one when trying to press the other, this is exacerbated by the slimness of the navigation wheel, if the person you're buying it for has even vaguely shaky hands they're likely going to have trouble with this. The phone itself is a bit on the slippery side so could be easily dropped if the user has a weaker grip. Finally the number of navigation steps to make a call via the contacts list is quite high and combined with the navigation wheel issue makes this a potentially very frustrating experience for the user and probably extremely difficult for an impaired user. The easiest way to make a call is with the recent calls function, you get here by pressing the green button and it gives you a list of recent incoming and outgoing calls, after selecting the name (Using the navigation wheel again) and pressing the green button again, which does not call the contact but brings up a sub-menu where you can finally call the contact, although call is not the default option on this sub-menu (So navigation wheel again to select call which is thankfully the 2nd option). If you're buying this for someone who is not very impaired it may be alright, but I suspect you're better off buying a cheap feature phone with better navigation controls and fewer nested menus.
