Alamo vehicle hire - Broken glass pieces inside of vehicle

We had hired a VW Transporter vehicle from Alamo for pickup at CPT airport. We arrived late at night and because it was night was told that an inspection cannot be done. The next day we discovered that the vehicle that was given to us had broken thick glass pieces all over the boot area. This glass extended to the floors and seats of the back as well. Fine glass pieces could be found everywhere in vehicle. It was so dangerous and even cut one of our family members. We had to find a way to clean the vehicle ourselves before using it. We could not get a hold of anyone on the telephone to rectify the situation. Additionally our emails went unanswered as well. Additionally, the deposit was immediately deducted from the credit card when booking the vehicle via booking.com (2 months before pickup of the vehicle).
