Response to Doula Faraway

Doula Farhaways, be careful before you trash a facility. I am a friend of the mother whom u refer to who gave birth that day. The mother misunderstood the caregivers: there are a limited number of people allowed in the birthing room due to the small facility. These are hospital rules. When the mother requested the doula the hospital agreed to this instead of her husband. So it was either the doula or the husband. Yes the mother was disappointed because she was not allowed a lotus birth and other natural practises but this facility is not your Genesis Clinic and neither do they proclaim to be. They do not have funds for allowing extra time and room for the natural birthing practises. They are partly government subsidised hence the red tape in allowing extras. I repeat, this facility is not your GenesisClinic it is to save women from the indignity of birthing at a government hospital and indeed the difference in fees say everything. I know ALOT of women who had awesome experiences at this facility, who are grateful that this facility exists because of the undignified experiences they've had at government hospitals.
