Defective Rear Shocks on Toyota RAV 4 Purchased
I purchased a 2012 Toyota RAV 4 from the above dealer early August this year. The car being subject to a motor plan I had it serviced at Halfway Toyota on September 01, 2015. On collecting the car the service report read that the rear shocks are defective and leaking oil. I had owned the car less than a month and had travelled about 200km only on tar.
I approached the dealer because my contention was that the shocks would never have passed a roadworthy. This started more than a month of excuses and evasions. I then contacted Phillippa Bailey [Email Removed] the franchisor. On her acting Aksons then sent two shocks to Halfway Toyota. I contacted Halfway and the cost to fit the shocks is R 900-00. I passed this on to Aksons to ensure their payment, but I am back to square one, e-mails and phone calls being ignored.
My complaint is twofold, the defective shocks should have been detected and replaced on roadworthy inspection and secondly, Aksons customer service credo seems to be \ignore the customer and the complaint and maybe the problem will go away.""""
