Akhona De-Furnishers

I went to the store in Pretoria CBD to get a quotation to furnish my house. An attendant walked the store with me and took down my requirements and quantities and handed over to the cashier who generated the quotation. There was an error on the quotation and the cashier rudely shoved the note the attendant made in my face and blamed me, I was very polite and simply pointed out the error and was met with an uncanny amount of hostility. I fixed the quotation and left, went to the bank and secured the funds

When I returned last Friday I handed over the quotation and requested a discount as I'd been buying from their store for a while and asked them to invoice the quotation. I was met with more hostility and when attempting to pay the very same cashier demanded a figure lower than the quoted amount. I was quoted 6200 and the cashier demanded I pay 4800 as she was in a rush to close the store. I noticed the big difference and thanked her for the discount and asked her if she was sure it was correct, she responded by saying "just give me 4,8 were closing now"

I was very happy, thinking I'd gotten the discount of a lifetime, but was met with disappointment when I went to collect my three items, two days later as they had to be assembled, and was only supp**** with two. Turns out the cashier didn't invoice my wardrobe.

When I went to her to enquire she told me it was my fault for coming into the store just before closing and theres nothing she could do

Normally I would ignore this and just pay for the wardrobe, but it takes two days to assemble, I use public transport, I no longer have the money because I thought it was a discount and spent it on other necessities and the way the cashier was militant towards me eventhough she was at fault was absolutely uncalled for and more than an inconvenience.

Ontop of all this, they neglected to give me the *****s required to put the unassembled pieces of furniture together, resulting in another trip and more inconvenience

This is absolutely against the consumer act and I'm very unhappy. I kept both the quotation and the invoice
