Akani Retirement Fund Administration

I am writing this review on behalf of my mother who is working under local government, she joined the retirement fund many years ago and added some beneficiaries of which among them there was her aunt (her mom's younger sister). The aunt has passed on recently and her Hr manager lodged a claim with Akani who is now refusing to process her claim due to the circular they claimed they had sent to her employer indicating that employees can only claim on behalf of their own parents and mother in laws, surprisingly her employer knows nothing about the circular in question. So now my mother cannot bury her aunt who raised her due to the senseless reason given to my mother. So basically, my mother's hard-earned money went down the drain? Akani officials proved to be unprofessional especially Nomthandazo, Botshelo and even the manager my mother was referred to. They kept on tossing her around as if she is nothing. Yesterday 26/07/2023 they ended up putting her on hold with no one attending to her issue. I connected my mother so i heard every conversation hence i am writing this today. Akani is ****ming and frustrating our parents with their own money and i refuse to see my mother being disrespected like the way they did. To them it's fun when they are getting money from our parents but when it's time for Akani to pay, they come with their Circular nonsense. How many Local government employees is Akani planning to ****? Last week Akani went to the same employer my mother is working for to recruit people even telling them to add any 4 of their family members...what do you call that? We are planning to take the matter to the court because i am not going to wait and see another parent go through what my mother is currently going through.
