Refusing to pay

I was invited by the above mentioned bike shop to sell my bike on my behalve since last year August 2014. Up until todate my bike is gone without any money received. They took advantage of me though I consulted a lawlyer to retrieve whats mine either my bike or my money. The matter is in process the lawyer has indicated that it is going to take some time which i also do not mind because if they can only pay me or return my bike then we go separate ways I just do not understand why they do not want to give my bike back. I could use all the help I could get to solve this issue. I have the written agreement of payment and all relevent documents.
