Oh no! Is Airlink going the way of all the other unreliable airlines?

This time last year Airlink would have scored a solid 5 from me. Every 2 weeks I do a multi-city trip for business. Airlink used to use the catch phrase ‘your on-time airline’ and true to that the 1st year I traveled with Airlink not a single delay. Sadly that is no longer the case. The past 5 times I have flown every dingle leg of my trip has been delayed by between 15 min to 2 hours. When delays happen comms are non-existent. And the reasons give are weather (on a clear, windless sunny day, technical issues, late incoming aircraft….. How unfortunate that instead of setting a new bar in the SA airline industry they have slumped into mediocrity and are now not much better than any of the other unreliable options we have. That despite being a more expensive option. Very disappointing. Just when I thought I had found an ‘on-time’ airline. As I write this I am sitting at Oribi Airport on yet another delay of over an hour. This will mean I miss business meeting scheduled around my original travel times. Shine up Airlink! 😡
