Misleading Black Friday Promotions by Airlink

I am beyond frustrated with Airlink’s Black Friday promotions this year. Their Marketing and Sales department could learn a thing or two from FlySafair, who consistently gets these promotions right.

Last year, there were no flight discounts, which was already disappointing. This year, the marketing imp**** something more exciting with draws for Fat Franks and hotel vouchers via Skybucks sign-ups. Yet, there was zero mention of flight discounts (just discounts - this could be for anything as they promote every other thing except flights) in their Instagram posts or elsewhere, leaving customers like me misled and frustrated.

How is it fair that I missed out on a R1,000 deal today because of unclear and fragmented promotions? Airlink needs to rethink their Black Friday strategy. At the very least, a voucher for a future booking should be offered to those who were shortchanged by this misleading campaign.

I expected better.
