FlyAirlink | Poor Customer Service
FlyAirlink has poor customer service. An Airlink representative advised that my luggage would be transferred to my final arrival city.
Upon arrival, my luggage had been left in the previous city. The representative at the airport counter in arrival city advised that the luggage needed to be collected at the first point of entry.
I then advised him this is not what the representative advised. He then said the luggage would arrive the following day, and I could pick it up from the airport.
I advised him that would not be feasible, as I was not opposed to picking up my own luggage in the first city, had I been given the correct information. He then requested my address for delivery of the luggage.
I received a call from another Airlink representative the following day, who said my luggage had arrived for collection. I subsequently informed her that the discussion with her colleague was to have my luggage delivered.
She then said that was not possible, and had audacity to say it would have to come out of her own pocket, she was extremely rude, and that was not my request. I then asked her whose pocket she expected the cost for transport for the pick up to come from; particularly because it was an Airlink representative who had misinformed me. There was no need for it to be personal.
She then told me to call her supervisor on her cellphone, to which I responded that I would not do that, she would have to call me back; and she even mocked me. I have never had a customer service experience where the onus was on the client to call the provider on a private number. Or at the bare minimum listen to the client, I had to get upset before she would even let me speak. It was such horrible and unprofessional behaviour and I still do not have my luggage.
