Bad and over priced service

I booked flight tickets and then need to move it one week later, because of medical reasons, the Cardiologist need to do an urgent heart scan. It turned out that the cost for moving the flight dates was 77% and 105% respectively on top of the original cost. They reject my request to reconsider the cost. How in the world is this possible? Clearly not good customer relationship.
