Airlink loosing opening bags removing personal effects.
I flew with airlink to Capetown for a work conference. This was Early March this year. When returning a day later I found that my bag was opened and Keys was removed. Immediately after collecting my bag, i went to report this at Airlink's Counter at Bram Fischer Airport. The staff members wasn't very helpful or Friendly. I spent just over an hour at this counter. They weight the bag. Gave me a reference number and told me that they would investigate and I will receive feedback in a few days. I never heard Back from them. I contacted their customer care numerous time. Each time I have been transferred from one department to the other. And no one could assist. On the 1st of November my wife had a flight to JHB. I dropped her of and went to the same counter to enquire. I was told that nothing has happend on the enquiry and that they do not have an answer. The lady at counter also informed me that you should not put "stuff" in your luggage that can be removed. Imagine that.
On a previous flight I carried my keys with me when Boarding. I was stopped at the gates and Informed that I am not allowed to take it on the flight. I had to contact my wife to come and collect it. So if I am not allowed to take it on the flight and it is not allowed to go in my luggage. Where should I keep my car keys? This is absolutely ridiculous. And the fact that airlink is just laughing this off is unacceptable.
