Airlink does not honour its tickets

I have two Airlink return airtickets, Cape Town to Windhoek. Total cost paid R8 346. The dates of the flights were in April 2020, but as a result of the Covid lock down, they were cancelled. With restrictions now being lifted, I asked for the tickets to be reissued for March 2021. Not so fast says Airlink. Because you bought your Airlink tickets before 6 December 2019 through SAA (Note: Airlink guided everyone to the SAA website to make their reservations), you must go to SAA. What? Don't I have Airlink tickets? Yes, BUT - Because SAA did not pay us the money for your ticket we can't reissue your ticket. You are a concurrent creditor of SAA. Go there. Really? SAA is currently not operating, and we know that there is no money for concurrent creditors. So we know where this is headed. Surely getting Airlink money from SAA is an Airlink problem - not mine? The Customer Care consultant did say he was sorry I was upset about this arrangement, at the same time a promoting Airlink as a separate stand alone company expanding its regional footprint for its valued customers. Airlink: It is not that you can't reissue my tickets, it is that you refuse to honour your commitments. Nothing less.

Reviewer Update
I am happy to report that, following extensive correspondence with Airlink, and on review of the court cases which went against Airlink, wrongly in my view, I am reconciled to the fact that it is actually SAA that has "******" my money. Airlink has done has done everything in its power to recoup the funds, and has offered to assist me in my efforts, as well as offering to assist in future flight arrangements. Thank you - faith has been restored!
