A big shout out to Sandra at Airlink Baggage handling at OR Tambo.

My bag was left behind in Orlando on the way back to Cape Town from a trip to the USA. We were connecting to Johannesburg on Friday the 2nd of January and another ground services handling company located the bag in Orlando and arranged to have it sent to Cape Town and then on to Johannesburg. It was supposed to be delivered to me once it arrived, but I had no feedback and had to make 30 or so phone calls (and this is not an exaggeration) before I could get an answer from someone. My bag was found in Cape Town and put on a flight to Johannesburg on Airlink on Sunday the 4th, but I had no feedback or contact from anyone as to where it was.

I reached out to Airlink and was able to connect with Sandra who was exceptionally helpful. She found my bag and was able to set it aside until I was able to make it to the airport to collect it on the Monday afternoon of the 5th. It's people like Sandra who are patient and understanding, willing to listen and willing to help that make a difference.
