Lack of any acceptable customer service

I ordered a service of my aircon which had been in use for less than a year. Shortly after the service, the aircon began to leak. I was then informed of a broken part in the aircon. The natural question went around whether the service team had broken the part or not by mistake. Although this cannot be proved either way, the service I received, or lack thereof, is nothing short of atrocious. I then paid for the part to be installed. The aircon is still leaking! I have asked that the company reverts with a solution, only to be told that I need to send in a video of the leak in action. After asking what this would prove, I was simply ignored and to this day, am still ignored. Below is my email to the company, prior the replacement of the broken part. One of the directors has been in correspondence from the start but has also chosen to ignore me post my communication around the most recent leak and request for a video. Also important to note that Michael, the director did not revert to this email below and hence my move to simply get the part installed and to circumvent further damage to my floor.

The time between the service and the break does not support the inference that the break was due to the service and nor does the time between the service and the break, refute the inference. What we do know is that this aircon has been in operation for less than a year with no issues. My concern is twofold:

1. We have a break which sequentially follows the service; 2. We have a break within a year of operation (this aircon was not used at all in winter).

These two facts would support the inference that there is a causal link between the break and the service.

On this basis, you’re expecting the client to spend > 20% of the value of the aircon (excluding depreciation) to fix? This cost in addition to the risk of another break is probably not erring on the side of great customer service, is it?

What would you propose Michael?
