Verification of ID

Hi, I am new to Airbnb site and trying to complete the verification with my South African ID Book (The green bar coded book). I have tried multiple times and always faced with the same repeative error message that I need to upload my national id. My question is, is the green bar coded govt issued not a National ID. I would like a resolution to my issue because I am sure that they can accept my green bar coded ID book.
