There is no guarantee you will ever get paid the rental income Airbnb collects on your behalf. Funds are repeatedly withheld. Not sure if deliberate or negligence but it is not worth it.

Airbnb is withholding my payouts again. Last year hosts all over SA had trouble with payouts due to never-ending loops of documentation requests. Now it's happening again - Airbnb's poorly automated payout system has a discrepancy in the bank details for SA payments, and the only way to get my payouts is to convince, beg, plead and threaten the *********** support team into fixing their tech mistake. So far, no success. The tickets get closed before the issues are resolved and it takes about a week to explain the issue to a new support person. The previous one actually rep**** with 'Yes I read your description of the issue, but I don't how I can resolve it'. It shouldn't be my problem either if Airbnb cannot offer the services they say they can, but it's an important source of income, so, I push on and try everything. If Airbnb is receiving funds on behalf of a host, they should be committed to paying the funds out to the hosts!
