I booked a place called wave of mercy the place was R19000 for 16 people when we had to check in I was told I needed to be there to check in due to unforeseen circumstance i couldn't make it but because my friends were no stranded because of me i told the host by the name of Caylee I'm cumin only to find out she canceled my booking only when i told her i will be there before check in time she tells me she has cancelled the booking what's worse is both Airbnb and the host does not want to refund or compensate us instead they have ****med us our money not even cent we had to book another place still today no-one has said anything about us not having a place to stay and taking our money. Instead Airbnb has advised that we get the money from the owner for crying out loud we did not do any payment to the host our money was deposited to the Airbnb portal.
