Don't use Airbnb to promote your property......unless you only want to get 70% of your booking fee!!

Never use Airbnb to advertise your property. They protect the customer far too much and don't listen to reason. I had a guest that booked for 17 days over Christmas and new year. On day 2 they complained about the bed. The matress is under guarantee but thebedshop only opened for business on 3rd Jan. I expected them to check out and find other accommodation but Nooooooo.... they stayed and then complained and got 30% of their booking money back for the full 17 days. I said to Airbnb that surely it is fair to deduct 2 days and then nothing after that as they stayed because they wanted to even with the bed issue. Theoretically you can book a place for 2 months, complain and get 30% back. Rather use booking.com or Lekkeslaap. Much fairer and more professional. They don't treat you like a number and they care.
