AirBnB Woodstock CapeTown Apartment Unjust Host

Booked Accommodation (Urban Chic WEX1 Mountain View’s Pool entertainment) in Woodstock, Cape Town. Due to changing circumstances I requested a reservation date change, after checking the place was available. The host refused to accept the date change without providing any reasons. This resulted in me having to unnecessarily forfeit the 50% deposit already paid for no reason. I was told to cancel and rebook the correct dates. The AirBnb support team tried to contact the host, but the host has refused to respond to any correspondence. This is unjust considering the place is available. In addition I requested support to guide me to where the policy implies that refunds are based on the full charge/cost of the reservation; however have not received any feedback.
