AirBnB Misrepresentation and ********* practices

I have booked accommodation in Mauritius in July 2022 (Holiday Surf Lodge in Tamarin). The listing turned out to be a borderline ****. A number of features listed for the particular property simply were not true. 1) As I had a rental car, it was important for me to have secure driveway (off-street) parking. The particular host's listing marked this as a feature and AirBnB went further to promote the property as being one of few in the area that does have secure off-street parking. When I arrived, I was told I was to park in the public street in front of the property. Furthermore, the neighborhood turned out to be very *****, again aggravated by the fact that AirBnB does not provide an exact location. Accordingly, I could not check-in, given the risks. 2) The property was listed as being a "Beachfront" property. Any person looking at Google maps could see that this property was kilometers away from the beach and actually a 20 minute walk to the closest public beach. With this level of misrepresentation and personal and property risk for my wife and myself, I could not check into the property and had to find alternative accommodation late on a Saturday afternoon, in a place that shuts down at that time of the week. Irrespective of the level of misrepresentation, AirBnb did not want to reimburse me and I had to accept the loss for a full week's accommodation costs. So from first hand experience, I can confirm that as a customer, AirBnB does not have your back and you cannot rely on what is being featured in accommodation listings.
