Airbnb has no help for unsafe area bookings

Once you have booked you are forced to stay no matter how bad the surroundings or area is. I tried in vain to cancel my booking after the area and building of the unit seemed very unsafe. No luck, we were forced to stay and could not cancel the booking. I'll never use Airbnb again.
