Air bnb holiday nightmare

Made a booking with airbnb after having previously enjoyed our bookings with them. Received confirmation emails and everyone was very excited. 6 people drove all the way to our destination only to find out once we could not find our destination that our host had cancelled her adverti*****t (even though we were still able to book and pay) as the house was under renovation and had no roof. We phoned their help center who informed us that they have high call volumes and will phone us back. So here we are...all excited... Stranded in a small town with no other accommodation. No one phonong back. Also could not tell us how long we should wait for them to phone or what to do next. Extremely disappointed to say the least.
