£60 just to press a button. Outrageous canellation fees

<p>I am an AirBnB host and was about to be a guest. I planned a UK trip to a particular fishing venue and looked up suitable accomodation on AirBnB. In early May 2016 I negotiated for a weeks stay and booked for 6 days accomodationin starting 26th July. When I did further research I found the distance to and from the venue was over 50miles - my fault but on map looked closer!). I immediately cancelled (3 days after booking confirmed and 2 full months ahead arrival date, only to be debited £60 AirBnB fees. Try as i may it is impossible to communicate with AirBnB by email or their web site (only if you happen to fit their pre-determined FAQ's - all automated).</p> <p>I have now booked with a Hotel at a competitive daily rate with cancellation available up to day prior date of arrival and no pre payment! </p> <p>I suggest AirBnB revise their fees and either get in line in the industry with a non penal cancelation fee and/or change it to a credit against future bookings. NOBODY LIKE BEING **********!</p>
