100% Cape Town Apartment Hosted by Darryl And Ron. This is a ******* and lying host.

Being the first time going to Cape Town on 19th of December 2019, this was a Vacation I was exited about. After a lot of trouble there is no chance anymore.

Darryl and Ron welcomed us and accepted the booking after paying R5534.19 to AirBnb for securing our booking.

As stating on their cancellation policy it’s stated as strict, which means, if you cancel 14 days before book-in there will be a full refund.

As shared with Darryl and Ron over the application that we were in a financial crisis and won’t be able to come through. As stated by them the following: “ Hi, thanks for the message and good to hear from you. We're sorry you are not going to make your holiday to Cape Town in December but trust you have found yourself a great new apartment. Unfortunately we can't cancel your booking so you will need to do this from your side. You will get a 50% refund from Airbnb. Should we manage to re-let the place over your dates we will be happy to refund you the rest. Hope you understand . All the best, Darryl & Ron”

After Cancelling, (Approximately 2 weeks after) we managed to work through the financial situation, and requested to rebook the apartment. Where we got a response of “ Hi Marcus , thanks for your email. We have decided to let family of ours stay there over Xmas so unfortunately its not going to be possible now. Really sorry.”

Where they stipulated in their message that we’ll receive a full refund.

After contacting support of them not wanting to repay the deposit back, we requested the money back through the Airbnb app and was sent trough to them, only for them to leave the case open for us not to receive any feedback on our deposit.

My attorney is busy with the case and are stipulated as theft.

Communication from them are completely quiet.

Be careful of this people. *****ing your money!
