Horribly overpriced

Over quoted for a basic job to replace my overflow pipe by 3 times the going rate. The company also charges for quoting for the repair if you do not accept their quote. Cost of quote for repair was R550 exc vat. Quoted repair was R1520 exc vat. When I questioned why the quote was so high I was told that "The quotation that was sent to you was not just to replace the flexi hose, the technician informed me that he wanted to remove the indoor unit and relocate the position of the flexi hose and drain pipe therefore, I had to allow for more labour than usual", none of this was discussed with me onsite. I refused the quote and arranged another company to do the work R490 inc vat.
