Air France Incompetence

My flight (AF1405) on 30/09/2022 from Rome to Paris was delayed by 1 hour 30 min, so I missed the connecting flight from Paris to Johannesburg (AF990). Air France could not find a flight for the next day since all were booked and there were no flights from Johannesburg to East London. It took them almost 2 hours to come up with a plan which was I stay there for 2 nights then get a flight (EK074) on Emirates (M2WQEN) on the 02/10/2022 from Paris to Dubai, then Dubai to Cape Town (EK772), then Cape Town to East London (FA142/ 5UI4YB) to arrive home on 03/10/2022. I arrived at the airport on 02/10/2022, tried to check in with Emirates and they said I am not on this flight or the connecting one. Go back and forth twice between the Air France desk and Emirates before finally Air France realize that they didn't actually issue the tickets with Emirates and by now that flight has left. So the next plan is get an Air France flight (AF658/ K94MHY) that night at 11pm (I've been at the airport since 10:30am) to Dubai, then get an Emirates flight (EK763/ M2WQEN) to Johannesburg and then I'm on my own sorting out the flight to East London since they can't change or book those (which I was not informed of during the first booking). The next available flight to East London was only on the 04/10/2022 which I had to pay for, as well as an additional night of accommodation in Johannesburg as well. While I was waiting for the flight to Dubai, I tried to check in online for the Emirates flight but again there was no booking for me. I go to the desk to find out and they assure me everything is fine. I phone Emirates and they say I am definitely not on the flight so I go back to the Air France desk and it takes them an hour to realize that again the ticket for Emirates had not been issued. If I had not been persistent with them, I would have again had the same experience of being stuck in Dubai with no connecting flight. So not only have I had additional unexpected expenses but also mental and emotional stress and trauma as I only arrived home on the 04/10/2022 instead of on the 01/10/2022.
