Air-Con problem RESOLVED!

I'd been having trouble with the air conditioning in my motor home, having taken it to several "repair shops" around the country and spending a lot of money to get it sorted out. No one seemed able to resolve the issue. I first contacted Air 2000 with a view to getting a new system installed in the roof of my vehicle, but the quoted price was way out of my budget. I also approached other firms who install air-conditioning into vehicles, but again, the costs were all over R25000 so I wasn't interested. I went back to Air 2000 to get the system re-gassed so at least for a while we would have cool air whilst we drove. On the appointed day I went to their workshop and their technician set about the task, replacing the drier unit and checking all the pipes he could get to. In that process he discovered traces of a leak under the compressor, and taking the pipes off to investigate discovered an "O" ring that was badly damaged. This he replaced, as well as fitting new "O" rings on the connectors to the drier. Then the system was re-assembled, evacuated and re-gassed. The result was a brilliantly working air-con - better than I have ever known it.... air temperature at the outlet vents was 6 degrees!. I can add that the price charged was a lot less than I was expecting and also less than I had paid at previous air-con repair shops. In short, a job very well done by a very knowledgeable technician to resolve a long standing problem. WELL DONE GUYS!
