Terrible attitude towards reasonably assisting me

I have registered a third party claim with AIG and I am unhappy with the service received from Lesiba (also known as Dennis) in the third part claims department. I do not know his full name as I have not received any communication from AIG as yet.

I have called in numerous times, and am never able to get through to him. I have left messages with no response. I asked if he could at least send an e-mail to advise what is happening, I am not expecting this to be finalised within a week, there are processes which need to be followed, but I would like to know that 'something' is happening and that my claim isn't left untouched.

I finally got through to Lesiba this morning. In response to requesting some feedback he stated that he has a busy life there. That I shouldn't make numerous calls and just call once, as the one who called before me will be helped first. He also rudely said: 'Why don't you just claim from my own insurance.' I am accident free since 2011 and am not having the claim on my insurance history. My car was bumped while parked at a shopping centre.

He said the next step is to appoint an assessor, why can he not just appoint one and give me the appointment date? He said he has 60 days to finalise the claim so I can wait up to 60 days. He is not even providing me with a date when he will simply appoint the assessor. This incident happened on the 25th of January and I am clueless about the procedure going forward.

I am completely disgusted that someone can be that rude and arrogant.

My claim number is: ********** 993ZA

I had submit the required documents about three to four weeks ago, after waiting for feedback I found out that I need to send these documents to someone specific at AIG.

Please transfer this claim to another advisor, I know that Lesiba will not assist me until the last day given his attitude displayed this far. I do not receive any communication from him and do not feel comfortable having to call him again.

I've been contacted by you advising a formal complaint has been made. Still no call or e-mail from the actual claims department. What is happening with this claim? When do I take it in for an assessment? Please, being left in the dark like this is so unfair.
