Disability... AIG SA does not have a clue what medical terminology means...
I received a telephone call from AIG Life S.A. during 2005 for an Accident Direct Policy. I was not interested but I just started a new position and my employer was not happy me receiving constant calls from AIG. Long story short - it offered Accidental Disability and Death Cover. During April 2014 I fainted in my kitchen suffering concussion followed by years of hell with Trigeminal Neuralgia/Neuropathy - a slow developing but extremely painful injury. In 2017 my employer was forced to put me on Medical Incapacity Leave and I was finally put on Medical Disability effectively from April, 1st 2018. When lodging a Disability Claim, I was advised by AIG that I had to claim within 2 years of my accident. During that time I was still receiving treatment by the best Neurosurgeons in the country. I have found AIG extremely unprofessional - rude and when I requested to speak to a medical accessor, I was firstly told that they don't have medical accessors and they still feel that nerve damage after concussion could have been caused by something else. Just don't ask me or my medical team by what. Even my neurosurgeons are totally confused about this finding.
