Conned again by an Insurance Company
<p>I must be an idiot. I keep on getting conned by insurance companies. The latest con was by AIG who is the underwriter for the Standard Bank top up hospital plan. I bought this policy about 20 years ago and paid a premium of approximately R90 pm. The premium religiously increased to keep up with inflation. Two weeks ago I had to spend a day in hospital for a minor procedure. The hospital excess was R2000 which I claimed from AIG, only to be told that one has to be in hospital for two or more days to claim.</p> <p>To all my fellow idiots out there, do not let Standard Bank or AIG con you into buying this hospital plan. I payed R21600 in premiums but cannot get R2000 out of AIG</p>
