AIG WILL NOT PAY BACK MY EXCESS

I had a policy with AIG to insure my car and business premises. In June of this year another vehicle sc****d mine while trying to park next to my vehicle. The other party accepted responsibility and my damage amounted to around R4 000. Before I could get my car repaired or AIG would claim from the other party I had to pay R2500 excess, which I duly did. I believe that as I was not at fault, my excess payment should be refunded to me. But most insurance companies hope that you will forget about that excess so they do not have to reimburse you. As AIG has not responded to my requests for my excess, I cancelled my insurance with them. They then continued to deduct money from my bank account and when I alerted them to the fact that I had cancelled my policy they reimbursed me. BUT....it has been more than 5 months now, and still no sign of my excess repayment. I did warn them that I will be writing a bad review on this platform, but obviously they did not take me seriously. For all policy holders out there with AIG, look for another service provider. My new insurance company has waiveD any excess on my new policy.

Reviewer Update
In reply to your response, speak to your lady Fierosa Rajah, and ask her why she is attacking the wrong person without getting her facts. Her story and my story are completely different. I have now published her mail to me on the hellopeter.com platform. I believe this is going to cause you a lot of embarrassment. All I asked for was my excess reimbursed as I was not the guilty party.
