AIG - Hospital Cash Back Plan - Worthless

Good morning, actually logged in just to see if I am the only client (soon to be ex) who is experiencing this feeling that you are being given the great run-around in order to decline or reduce the claim. When I signed up for the policy in June 2010 (and being fortunate to not having been hospitalised until Nov 2019 when for the 1st time I submitted a claim) that the conditions for claiming rest on actually being hospitalised (no problem there I was admitted from casualty directly to ICU) and that the cause of illness/injury is not as result of any of the Exclusions (1-26) listed in the policy document. Also no problem there.

Now once the initial claim has been submitted the circus starts. (Keep in mind that the only cash back adverti*****ts I have seen are these seamless flawless experience of client submit and client gets paid)

Now the requests for supporting documentation. Detailed hospital account, detailed hospital file and Comprehensive Clinical Report. The first report submitted, still waiting for a copy of the hospital file. Next you have to make an appointment, in this case with the Specialist Surgeon that diagnosed, admitted and treated me to sit down and explain and motivate his diagnosis and treatment to be submitted to reviewed by a consultant physician or nurse. The comments submitted by the other "happy" clients on this page this reinforces my experience my belief that points a) to l) under Claims Conditions will be used, at your cost and with little hope of winning in the Complaints and Disputes section.

Anyway not in the mood to type the whole day, am still at home recovering from my illness.

What I have however decided is that I will not even bother to communicate with AIG in this regard but cut my losses and cancel all AIG policies that I have as I consider the way my first claim is being handled indicative of the service I will get in the unfortunate event that I again land in a position where I have to submit a claim.
