12 years of deductions for a non existent policy !

Since inception being the 27/03/2009 AIG/Chartis have been deducting monthly premiums off my mother’s bank account and on some months double.

Recently ( circa 3 months ago) our neighbor who is an ex-employee of Chartis / AIG said she would assist my mother in finding out about her policy. Discussions were held with Michelle Govender who stated that the policy had lapsed in 2010 however a policy update letter signed by Michelle Govender was sent in 2012 and to date continue to deduct the monthly premium. They advised our neighbor that they would investigate. On the 21/09/2021 - Nonhlahla from Chartis / AIG called my mother and stated that the outcome of the investigation was that the policy did not exist, and she should take deductions up with her bank. The last deduction off my mother’s bank account was on the 30/10/2021.

Our request is that since the policy does not exist. That the deductions for the past 12 years be refunded to the policy holder. My mother is a pensioner and should not have to pay for a non existent policy.
