Be aware of using AGS Frasers

We chose to use AGS to ship our personal belongings from SA to Ireland.Their guess at the volume of our goods was very inaccurate, 20% of the container was empty. The staff would not leave the house until 9pm, even though they were asked to. They rushed the job and packed stupidly. An empty Tupperware wrapped with sheets paper, yet a fragile glass item had no wrapping at all! Linen packed with car mats. Special items were not considered worth wrapping properly and consequently damaged. The container arrived late. Once unpacked we discovered all the damaged items. Some had been insured and some unfortunately not. When the claim went in, the insurance company that AGS use refused to pay what they were insured for, instead they will only pay a fraction of the insured value. We suggest that you take great care in reading all the stupid small print. Although they appeared friendly and professional from the start, like when you have a member of staff come to your home to measure your goods, and all the emailing and paperwork. These people are not the ones used to handle your personal belongings. Never again, next time we will self pack and rather deal with customs, as nothing to hide.
