Wex Apartments - the ****roach infested accomodation needs to be removed from Agoda and all other platforms

I do not, for the life of me, understand how Agoda and Bookings.com have can have accomodation such as Wex Apartments in Cape Town on their site...

We made the mistake of booking there (as we trusted the Agoda site) without reading the reviews. We then wanted to check if they had a hairdryer and stumbled across the reviews. ****roaches in the rooms, unfriendly staff, disgusting beds, rooms even not looking the same as per the pictures on Agoda.

Seeing ad we booked literally 3 days before we could travel, we contacted the hotel to ask for a refund as we won't be staying there. Most places have a refund policy of 48 hours or so. The gentleman informed us that refunds are only granted 30 days before travel.

Wex Apartments was R1000 a night! A discounted rate mind you. For that trash?? How can Agoda continue to promote this accomodation, given the reviews. We refuse to stay in a ****roach infested hotel so we are unfortunately down R4000 thanks to Agoda.

We will never use Agoda again.
