refuse to honor their price match policy

I booked a hotel stay at Houwhoek Inn in western cape South Africa with Agoda who quoted R2999.00 on their website. I did not read the small print properly as this price was pre vat and it actually cost R3340.00 when they sent the confirmation of the booking. A few days later I got an offer on Wikideals for the same accommodation at the same hotel for the same weekend for R1999.00 vat inclusive. I contacted Agoda to put their best price match policy in motion but to my dismay they threw many petty obstacles in my way . Each time I responded to their requests with the proof I would get a response from a different customer service agent asking for something else or the exact same thing I've given previously.
