I had a very bad experience with this online travel & accommodation booking company. What had happen is that I made reservation at Gariepview guest house via the Agoda.com app and accidentally selected incorrect dates, I selected the 20th of Jan 2025 as my check in date instead of selecting the 20th of Dec 2024. Now when I try to make date amendments on their website it doesn’t give me that option, so I decided to cancel the booking and start all over with the correct dates, but to my surprise I got a pop up message advising that “ Unfortunately, this booking is not eligible for a refund”.

This was annoying and disappointing for me, since I thought that Agoda was a prominent and legit website to do your travel and accommodation booking without being ****med. I tried contacting the property which is Gariepview guesthouse and to my surprise they never received and payment from Agoda.com on my behalve, so what happened to my money then and why can’t I be refunded, since I never used the property facilities but I’m bring charged for a booking 🤔
