Agoda overcharges clients

<p>I recently booked on Agoda for the Emeralds Resort and Casino. The rate they charged me for the night was R1039,50. Agoda states they are cheaper when making bookings, however they **** about this as when I arrived at the Emerald resort , the receptionist was not sure if payment went through and said the rooms are R805 per night for the same room. Furthermore they had a special running for R660 if a specific code was used. This means Agoda charged me R235 IN EXCESS WITHOUT THE FURTHER SPECIAL RATE OF R660, if I used the code for R660 and made a direct booking on the Emerald website I would have saved even more. Emeralds receptionist stated I paid too much for the room , when she later called Agoda to see payment went through as there rates include a R350 deposit that gets returned.</p>
