Incompetency
Hi. I've given notice to Telkom to terminate my service on the 23rd of December 2017. They indicated that it will take a month to terminate my service.
I have bought a laptop on one of their specials on which I had to pay a deposit of R 1500.00. I've long paid off and that credit has stayed on my account.
In July of 2018 AG Collection Services contacted me and said that Telkom has handed me over to them and that I must now pay them the outstanding money due to Telkom.
I then contacted Telkom and asked them why did they hand me over when I've cancelled my services. The gentleman from Telkom investigated my account and said they haven't cancelled my account and that they were still charging me. He then reversed all the monies up an till January 2018 on which I then owed them R 1516 and some odd cents which he then took the R 1500.00 from the deposit on the laptop on which I then owed R 16 and some odd cents on which I immediately paid R 17.00 per EFT leaving me with some odd cents credit. When I received my statement the end of the month It showed that I owed them not a cent.
Now Brenda from AG Collection services still insist that I owe Telkom the money. After I have tried to explain it to her time and time again and sent her the proof that I'm in a credit, she is convinced that I still must pay the money to them that is due to Telkom.
