Terrible service
was referred to Afrox Homecare by an ICU nurse. I struggled to get ahold of someone on Thursday, the 19th. Eventually someone answered at the Epping branch and refers me to Bradwell and gives me his cell number. I explain to him my mom has Stage 4 Emphysema and I need to get Oxygen for her. He explained the process and emails me within 30min the application form and where I have to submit it. Great service. Friday morning, the 20th, I send through the application form with all information requested. Afrox Homecare accounts department, Zanele, calls me just after 4pm on Friday afternoon, asking what I want to hire. I ask if the account is opened as I did explain the urgency to Bradwell. She says they first need to know what I want to hire. I explain I will call her back in 5 minutes as I have to check the email from Bradwell for item. I call back, a different lady answers, does not want to transfer me. I explained to her the unit I require, and that I also emailed this info through back to Zanele. I received no response. Monday morning, 23rd,I emailed to enquire about the account, I tried numerous times to call and no one answers. I tried the Epping branch, no answer. I then eventually call Bradwell on his cell phone around 12pm, explaining my desperate situation as I need to assist my Mom, he then says I must send him the details, he will follow up. I sms him the info. He never came back to me. I keep on trying to get ahold of someone in the Accounts section, eventually the 6th call gets answered. After explaining all again she says it will take 3 to 4 hours to open account. I explained how desperate the situation is, and it is now since Friday morning that I have been waiting, she just said it's the process. Then after 2pm I get an email stating that I need to send my application in as they have nothing.... My brother eventually got a hold of one of their suppliers that is a Regional Manager at Afrox to get someone from Homecare to call me to sort this. I get a call at 3pm from Zanele. Thinking she is attending to my account, she asks what can she assist with!? Her Manager said she must call me!? So I remind her off our conversation, the fact that I am waiting for the account to be opened, give her reference numbers again, she repeats that they are waiting for me to say what unit I want!!! I have emailed this, and spoke to people twice.. Eventually she says my Mom must have R1000 deposit ready, they will get the unit to her this afternoon, if I do EFT then it will only be tomorrow delivery. I explain again that this is urgent as it is now Monday afternoon. She says then it must be cash. I agree that I will get cash to them that I did immediately after our phone call. It is now 8pm, no delivery for oxygen has happened. I have received no paperwork, no communication.... I am dumbstruck at this level of service.
