I ordered hair products from the Afrobotanics kids range (Hair Butter as well as a Combing & Braiding cream) in the beginning of December 2025. The products were delivered on the 11th of December 2025. After the products were delivered I inspected them and realized that the expiry dates have been cut off on both the containers that were delivered to me. The expiry dates on Afrobotanics products are printed on the corner of the plastic film that has the company logo and name of the product. So it was easy to see that the corner of the plastic band has been cut off to remove the expiry date. This raised an alarm with me because I bought the same products from the same company in October 2025 and the expiry date on the products that I received was 12/2025. This means that they intentionally cut off the expiry dates on the products that they delivered to me on 11 December 2025 because they are from the same batch that expired in 12/2025 that I got in October 2025. After making this discovery I immediately sent Afrobotanics an email, a whatsapp message, a message on their website raising my concerns and requesting a refund. As at 21 December 2025, I have not received a single response from them and their telephone line goes unanswered. I find it upsetting that a big brand like them would engage in such practices and treat their customers in this manner.
