Zero integrity

So we moved house on 1 August. I started searching for moving companies when Braam from AfriWorld phoned me telling me how much he wants my business and will do it for a really good price. He told me how great they are and all that so obviously it sounded great. He mailed me with all these great reviews that he got from clients telling me that I can phone them for references.

So moving day came and they were more that 30 minutes late, and after standing around for how long assessing what needs to be done, the started loading in the most random manner I have ever seen. The guys were obviously not experienced in moving furniture.

My husband went with them to the new house to off load, while I stayed behind cleaning. When my husband came back I went to the new house with the two cats while the rest of our stuff was being loaded. When I got there I was shocked to find everything dumped in one room, not properly stacked but just randomly thrown in. Boxes on top of my husband's guitars. Boxes clearly marked "Fragile" and "This side up" on their sides and head. Bags just laying there on top of everything. The TV placed on the couch with its screen to the front almost falling off.

I called my husband to tell him what was happening and he confronted Braam. I started opening up the boxes that were clearly mishandled, only to find my stuff broken. Boxes full of glassware smashed to pieces, including my grand's 40-year old antique milk jug. And one of my frying pans actually isn't round anymore.

Braam was very apologetic and told us that we did not have to pay for the move and that he would replace everything that was broken, that he new antique dealers and that he would try and source me another antique milk jug. He told me to mail him with everything that was broken and he would pay for the replacement

So in the course of the next couple of weeks while unpacking I made a list of everything that was broken. I searched the internet for prices for replacement and mailed everything to him.

I hasn't even bothered to reply.

I am very disappointed in the service we received, clearly there is no respect for peoples belongings and clearly no integrity in keeping ones word.

I would not recommend their service to anyone.
