I contracted Pieter de Bruin ***) director of Afritech Industrial Construction (AIC) to replace the corrugated roof sheets, gutters and one ceiling of my house. After the roof and gutters were replaced I realised that he did not include the roof of a store room that is part of the house in the quote. At the end of the week I received a request for payment of the outstanding amount as he was running short and promised to do the storeroom roof for free and the ceiling the following week. I asked him to give me a quote for another ceiling in the the house. He sent me a quote which included the ceiling I had already paid for. He promised to change the quote but I have not heard from him since. Not responding to my messages or phone calls. Roof and ceiling not completed. I realised too late that I should not have paid the outstanding amount until all the work had been completed.
