Afristay listing La Mercy accomodation dilapidated.

La mercy accommodation listing on Afristay website. The place was terrible, run down and dilapidated. The handrail on stairway inside was loose and shaky, if i leaned on it, it would give way, there were gaps on stairway through which kids can fall through, there is a water feature that is not in use with big rocks, if kids fell on this they would seriously be injured, this is below stairway. The swimming pool was green, many tiles were broken on the floors, mirrors cracked and balcony ballistrates falling apart which made it unsafe for everyone especially children as balconies were 2 and 3 floors up. The was a pile of wood with nails in them adjacent to the swimming pool which made it more unsafe for the kids. The jungle gym and play area was unsafe as it was not maintained. The entire place was not maintained. The aircon units were corroded. The pics on the website are from many years back and not a true reflection of the place currently. I wouldn't advise anyone to go stay there. When we told the host that we were unhappy with the place as its unsafe for the kids, he told us that he cant help it if we can't control our children. The host was abrupt and had no care of our concerns, so we left the place within half an hour of arriving. As we made the booking via afristay we better get our deposit back and this place must be removed from their listings as it is unsafe for kids and theres a major accident waiting to happen. There is also no parking within close gates, parking on the road.
