I'm being refused access to an apartment I've paid for
I stay at the Leo Apartments and was on a 12 month lease. I asked to be moved to a bigger apartment and I asked if whether my lease for the old apartment would be terminated and would no longer be in my name if I sign the new lease for the new apartment and pay rent and one of the representatives agreed on email. They sent me an invoice for the new apartment, which I paid rent for, I signed the new lease and everything was done on my side and they had to keep their end of the agreement by terminating my lease for the old apartment. When the new lease came for me to sign, I instead chose a different lease option this time which is a month-to-month as that was presented to me and then the representatives refused to give me the key to the new apartment, stating that I'm obliged to take another year long lease and they refused to terminate my old lease stating that the rent I paid for the new apartment, which is higher will be credited towards the old apartment. It was never in our agreement and when I asked them to show me where I signed for it in the contract they fail to show me. These scream red flags, because why would you refuse to keep your end of the deal when we had a mutual agreement? Please help me expose this group. I'm very cross with their service, because I believe what they're doing is ******** and *********. You can't agree to give me the key to an apartment I paid rent for and when I'm supposed to move in you refuse to give me access.
