From 5 star rating to half a star.

Hi My name is LIndeka, I’ve lived at the Atlas East for little over a year now, I thought I would never leave when I first came here. I talked about the Atlas to everyone and most of my friends had no choice but to move to the Atlas. After the lease was signed everything was fine up until I had to renew my lease in July 2024 and all my problems started. They started charging ridiculous amounts, communication became terrible, I mainly communicate with a guy named Chad every time I query a charge I don’t know about he adds an administration fee to it. I have a friend who has a similar room to mine we were paying the same amount last year this year I am paying around R7500 for Bachelor unit and she pays way less and it has nothing to do with water, I am hardly there and when I am it is just me all the time.

2. I pay my rent on the 1st day of the month but for the Month of September they sent me a letter of demand and charged me interest when I queried it and sent POP they removed that charge and added an admin fee and another charge I do not know, at this point living at the Atlas has become so unpleasant.

3.There was a compulsory fumigation that happened where they picked dates for us, we were not even asked to pick the dates that suited us. I left the building in the morning as asked and came back after at 6 PM to a room full of fumigation smoke like they just fumigated my room. The whole room was foggy with lights on and I inhaled that whole thing, coughed until I couldn’t take it and left. Until this day my nose is still sensitive after inhaling whatever they were using , I can’t wait to leave this place.

If you were thinking about moving to The Atlas East, and you don’t bother anyone and value your peace I suggest you don’t even come to view the place it’s not worth it.
